About our Annual Practice-A-Thon

Our Practice-A-Thon is dedicated to furthering the influence of music within our community and our nation. Established at Drake in 2011 by Sigma Alpha Iota and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, this annual fundraiser has donated over $12,000 in the interest of music education. In years past, we have donated supplies and instruments to schools in need of financial assistance, created a scholarship program to help young musicians pay for private lessons, and helped update the student lounge in the Harmon Fine Arts Center.

The theme this year is A Festival of Seasons! Participants are encouraged to find a sponsor to donate money per hour of their practice. $25 is the minimum to required amount to participate, which includes a t-shirt! There will be prizes handed out to teams and individuals who practice the most and raise the most money. For more information on prizes, go to the practice tab. 

Our eleventh annual Practice-a-Thon Celebration will be held on November 6th, with fundraising done November 1st - November 5th.
